Goals for 2019…
Hello, one and all. Soooo, 2019 is upon us. When the hell did that happen? I hope everyone had a great New Year, and the road ahead proves fruitful for us all. You may or may not remember, but at the start of 2018, I made a blog post where I outlined my goals for that year. So, I figured it would be good to go back and see if I hit them or not (spoilers, not really). But goals are good, if you fall short or not. This is more from a business standpoint than anything to do with the art or love of horror, but it might be helpful to some of the other amazing horror authors I’ve gotten to know over the last two years. So, to sum up, what I aim to achieve in 2018: Books to be released: 4 Ebooks to be sold: 15,000 Paperbacks

Halloween Sale!
Since Halloween is almost here, and it being the season of scares and all, I thought it would be a good idea to have a Halloween sale on all my ebooks. So, until November the 2nd, you can get Horror in the Woods, The Demonic, Tormented, and even my newest novel, The Mark, all for just $0.99 / £0.99. But before I get into the meat of that, I just wanted to say thank you for the success so far for The Mark. It seems to be very well received and I am enormously grateful for that. And if you have read, and enjoyed it, perhaps consider leaving me a review on Amazon. The review count really helps push the book to other potential readers. But, on to the good stuff – the massively reduced ebooks. As I have mentioned, they are all currently only $0.99 / £0.99 until November

Change of Plans…
Demonic ugly face So much for having a plan. After the release of The Mark – not sure I have mentioned this book, which is released on the 25th of Sept? 🙂– the idea was to jump back and write a more full-on, gory horror, in the style of Horror in the Woods and Tormented. Then, after that, go back and write another Supernatural Horror in the vein of The Demonic and The Mark. I even have a cover for that one and a cool idea, set in a forest. I thought it was a good plan. But inspiration has suddenly told me different. The other day I had an idea for another haunting/possession type story that really took hold. Tried to ignore it and put it on the back burner, but it just wouldn’t let go. And now I already have the first act mapped out, a likely ending

The Mark – 25th September Release
Exciting news – The Mark: A Supernatural Horror Novel, will be released on 25th September 2018. Less than a week away. The paperback version will be released within a few days of the 25th, if not the same date, and hopefully, the Audiobook will be out within a month or two. This story has a lot more in common with The Demonic, rather than the two full-on gore-fests that were Horror in the Woods and Tormented. However, the ending of the Mark certainly has its share of the red stuff! I’m really excited for people to dive into this story and hope the scares ring true. Read the description below, and let me know what you think: A satanic cult. A woman’s brutal assault. Can she face her darkest fear before a demon is unleashed from hell? Kirsty Thompson is no stranger to trauma. But when a vicious attack leaves

You can check out the review HERE – be sure to let me know what you think. Also, Karen produces some fantastic gothic art, which you can find on her website, Drawing in the Dark. I highly recommend checking this out too! – Lee

Tormented Audiobook Out Now!
Well, the day is finally here – I’m thrilled to announce that the Audiobook for Tormented is now out! I can’t tell you how excited I am for people to hear this, as the narrator – Hannibal Hills – has done some phenomenal work. The Demonic – One Year On…
As of the 21st of July (yesterday, at the time of writing), The Demonic has been out for one whole year. A few months ago I posted a recap of how Horror in the Woods performed over the course of its first year, so I thought I would do the same here. I’m not going to do this with every book, and will probably stop with this one, but given Horror in the Woods and The Demonic were the two books released in my first year of doing this, I thought it was a good bookend to do a follow-up with The Demonic. So, in the twelve months since its release, The Demonic has performed thusly: Sold over 6,700 ebooks. Had over 2.3 million page reads in Kindle Unlimited. Sold 358 paperbacks. Sold 956 audiobooks. It has 90 reviews on Amazon and sits at a 3.6 average out of 5.
Exciting news today! The Audiobook version of Tormented is getting very close to release. My producer, Hannibal Hills, had previously sent all the files over for review, which I have just completed. I have to say, with no bias at all, that this thing is going to be amazing!!! Han has brought this story to life in a way I could scarcely imagine. So for fans of Tormented, and those that have not had the sickening pleasure of the story as yet, you will definitely want to pick this up. I have approved all the files and they are now just with ACX (distributor) for their review, and should be going live in about 10-14 days time (possibly sooner). But wait, there’s more. How would you like a free copy of the audiobook? Well, if so, you’re in luck. ACX gives me 25 free codes for the US store, and

Gravewatcher & The People
Just wanted to make a quick post today to give a shout out to a couple of authors whose works I have really enjoyed. If you are looking for some horror books to dive into, then look no further than these two: The Gravewatcher by Rockwell Scott Every night at 3 AM, he visits the graveyard and speaks to someone who isn’t there. Eleanor has created an ideal life for herself in New York City with a career that keeps her too busy, just as she likes it. But when she receives an anonymous message that her estranged brother Dennis is dead, her fast-paced routine grinds to a halt. She rushes to Finnick, Louisiana — the small, backward town where her brother lived and temporarily settles into his creepy, turn-of-the-century house until she can figure out how he died. But that night, Eleanor spots a young boy in the cemetery

Switching it up
So as many of you know, I have been working on a Supernatural novel for a while now, but unfortunately, the damn thing is taking its time to plot and flesh out. To the point where I’m forcing it now, and am a little worried that, by forcing it, the story won’t be as good as I wanted it to be. Given that, I’ve made the decision to put that story on the back-burner for a little while, just to give it time to breathe and percolate. It will still get written in the near future, but for the time being I’m switching things up and moving on to a different idea that is mostly fleshed out already. Hopefully this next book, whilst still a Supernatural horror (more in the style of The Demonic that Horror in the Woods or Tormented) will be ready and released in 2-3 months. The

Happy Birthday Horror in the Woods!
My first book, Horror in the Woods, was released exactly one year ago today (at the time of writing). Not much of a milestone, granted, but for me, it is a pretty good feeling! Given it is now a year old, I decided to have a look back at how my first book has performed, and am thrilled with the results. For an author fresh out of the gate, with no catalogue behind him, this violent little story about a family of cannibals in the woods who feast on poor passers-by, has done quite well. To give you some numbers: Sold 3000 ebook copies. Over 1 million pages read in Kindle Unlimited (1,150,000 +). Sold 145 paperback copies. Sold 199 Audiobooks. In addition, it is currently sitting with 99 (mostly positive) reviews on Amazon.com. If you haven’t already, you can pick it up on Amazon: Amazon US Amazon UK So,

Tormented on Sale – Only $0.99
My new novel, Tormented, is on sale now for a limited time only. If you haven’t already, now is the perfect time to pick up the ebook for only $0.99 / £0.99. You can grab your copy here: Amazon US Amazon UK Here are what some horror fans are saying about it: *** Just finished Tormented, and absolutely loved it. Hugely reminiscent of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser work, but with a visceral darkness that savagely echoes all the best and lingering horrors found in Lovecraft. This book builds upon the mythology found in his previous works, Horror In The Woods and The Demonic, and gives us a wider, more terrifying view of the darker universe that touches ours, and the terrible fates that await there. The end is incredibly satisfying, and readers who love the intense finales of his previous books will not be disappointed. The last three chapters give us

The House of Long Shadows
For people who haven’t yet heard of him (and if that is you, rectify that immediately), I’m a big fan of horror author Ambrose Ibsen. Every book of his I read I enjoy, my first foray into his world being The Sick House, and now I’m working my way through his Afterlife Investigations Trilogy. I’d highly recommend checking out his work and, as it happens, he has just released a new haunted house book! I’ve already picked up my copy, and if you are interested now is the time as it’s only $0.99 / £0.99 (which I don’t think will last).
